  • The first Friday of every month, over 60 artists open to the public. FIrst Friday Dates for 2013:
    June 7, 5-9
    July 5, 5-9
    August 2, 5-9
    September 6, 5-9
    October 4, 5-9
    November 1, 5-9
    December 6, 5-9
  • Every Sunday from May until November, many artists open to the public in conjunction with the SoWa Open Markets. The Markets open from 10-4. Artists hours vary. Feel free to check with your favorite artists to see if they will be open

  • Once a year, artists in the entire South End of Boston open open their doors to the public. All SoWa Artists Guild member will be open for this event. The 2013 event runs the weekend of September 21st & 22nd.
    Saturday, September 21st  11am – 6pm
    Sunday, September 22nd  11am – 6pm

  • Dates for the Spring SoWa Artwalk have not been announced yet.

SoWa Artist Guild

The SOWA Artists Guild at 450 Harrison Avenue is a non-profit association of professional studio artists. The Guild’s purpose is to promote the diversity and individuality of the artists working in this flagship space, 450 Harrison Ave, the center of the SOWA Art District.

The Artists

The SOWA artist district of Boston has developed into a major artist community with hundreds of artists’ studios and dozens of galleries. At the center of SOWA, 450 Harrison Avenue is home to 15 galleries and over 70 artist studios. The members of the SOWA Artist Guild are an eclectic group – from different parts of the world, working in different mediums, each with a unique approach to creative expression. What they share is dedication to their work and a serious pursuit of artistic quality.
